Dogs are prone to fights usually because they want to protect their territory. If it’s a dog to dog fight, it may end up brutal or deadly. How much more if it’s between dogs and wild animals?
Animal Aid Unlimited received information about two female puppies in agony after being attacked by a wild animal in a village in India. This village is situated near a wildlife sanctuary and there are times that some wild animals may go inside the village to find some food to consume. Unfortunately, these two puppies may have caught the attention of this savage animal, leaving them on the verge of death.
Lucy, one of the victims, suffered some deep punctured wounds while Charlotte had a painful, swollen neck after the attack. It’s presumed to be an attack of a big cat like a leopard, tiger or jaguar.
Both of the puppies badly needed medical attention. One of the families helped these puppies by putting some yellow ointment on the affected areas. It’s visibly there when the rescuers from animal aid unlimited arrived.
The rescuers immediately took the two puppy sisters to the animal aid’s shelter for treatment. They cleaned and bandaged up the wounds to avoid infections.
Charlotte seemed afraid when she was put on the table for treatment, but the rescuers took great care of her. After a fight, the ones that most likely to look completely terrified and anxious are the victims.
After a few weeks of recovering, the two puppy sisters are already up and running. They seem to have lots of energy moving around and playing with each other.
You will also see how happy they are being cuddled and scratched by their rescuers. It’s hard to imagine that they just had a terrible experience.
Below is a video of their amazing story.
