They say love is crazy, sometimes we can’t understand why it happens, how it happens, but it happened. Here, we like to share with you this odd couple’s love story that will tickle your heart.
Debbie, a teeny little pink blob was brought home by her mom Lindsay, and it was quite a scene when she met her new friend big George. Debbie, the little piglet was kind of terrified and thinking, “you kidding me!” It took maybe 20 minutes for Debbie to warm up to George. For big George, he didn’t think of her as a pig at all, he just thinks she is a little baby!
George could not get enough of her, he started sniffing her – licking her right away and cleaning her. Little Debbie has been all over George ever since. She would run off and George would make sure to find her and then she would come back out, lay on the dog bed with him.
Little piglet Debbie is very chicky. She doesn’t care about boundaries, as she kind of thinking, “great you’re gonna love me no matter what!”
“I knew the dog would be perfect for her, he is just a calm dog. George is about 135 pounds of just love, he’s definitely a gentle giant. They have very similar personalities that both just want to sleep and cuddle all day. They just seem to know what the other needs and they are there for each other. I’m pretty sure Debbie thinks she’s a dog, she does this weird bark when she heard George barks, she has no idea she is a pig!” Lindsay laughed as she was telling the story of this odd couple.
The little piglet, Debbie is growing at a crazy speed. Right now, she is about 30 pounds, is about the size of a very thick beagle. No one is entirely sure how big she is going to be, she could potentially be a full-grown potbelly or not. But either way, Lindsay said she is here to stay.
As for big George, he is always right next to Debbie, cuddling and playing with her. “I think he makes her feel safe. I think he is kind of her security blanket.” George just loves to see Debbie being happy, that is his personality. He has this expression that he just look at you and kind of saying, “I did it, I can take care of another animal!”
In this story, we learned that two different animals can become best of friends, and big dog George made it possible because of his patience, loving and nurturing characteristics.
Thank you Dodo for sharing the story.
